Beginners and improvers age 8-10 Learn to sew and make cool stuff! Have a blast expressing your personal style with interesting (and sometimes wacky) projects designed to push the limits of your creativity. Classes emphasize planning, fine motor skills, design, self expression, creative risk-taking and much more through hand and machine sewing, and other sewing related activities. Each term instructors focus on new or seasonal projects and themes…and sometimes bring back a fan favorite! Students have a lot of fun making new friends, practicing new skills, and making mistakes (…yup…we make that fun too!)
Projects include stuffies, dolls accessories, wearable items, wall hangings, quilts, simple garments, and more. Projects are adapted to challenge students of various skill levels so everyone can work comfortably at their own pace and personalize their creations.
