Junior sewing classes emphasize planning, fine motor skills, design, self expression and much more through hand and machine sewing, and other sewing related activities. This class is perfect for beginners and improvers age 8-10 who are excited to get creative with their sewing skills!

Projects are adapted to challenge students of various skill levels so everyone can work comfortably at their own pace and personalize their own creations. Each term instructors focus on something new or seasonal …and sometimes bring back a fan favorite! Students learn and practice…

  • Sewing machine basics and safety

  • Laying out basic patterns and following instructions

  • Pinning, cutting fabric, sewing on the line

  • Sewn project design and construction

  • Creativity in designing their own projects

SCHEDULE
Section 1: Tuesday 4-5 pm | April 2 - June 1 (No Class 4/16)
Section 2: Thursday 3-4 pm | April 4 - June 13 (No Class 4/18)
Section 3: Saturday 11 am-12 pm | April 6 - June 15 (No Class 4/20)

*If there is space students may enroll until the 3rd week of the session at a pro-rated price
