How It's Made: Sailing Edition

Week 3 | Morning Session
July 9-13 | M-F 9am-12pm
Ages 6-8 and 9-11

Ever wondered how those big sails get sewn? Not with a home sewing machine! This camp session is all about sewing BIG. We will sew projects with sail cloth and with a sailing theme. Campers will take a field trip to a local sail loft where they will check out industrial sewing machines, BIG sewing tables and fabric cutters, and see "How it's made".

Projects may include: bags made from sail cloth, giant sail boat shaped floor pillow, nautical flag banners made from sail cloth

Skill Level: 0-2


Additional info

  • All materials included.
  • 50% deposit required to reserve a spot. Space is limited to 6 spots in each age group.
  • All campers should bring a snack and water bottle. Full Day campers please supply a lunch and sunblock etc for outside (weather permitting we will take lunch outside)
